Telephone in the standard that most people will think of is in my opinion, obsolete. Instead of having a whole set of telephone lines that may never be used to run in the home, the choice of using a VOIP provider will be made. The VOIP provider which will likely be Ooma will have an ATA which has an RJ11 jack for the fax capabilities of the printer, and support for 4 DECT phones. In addition, the service can support up to 10 telephone numbers per ATA. The ATA will plug into one of the RJ45-10GBPS jacks – therefore, no need for the old fashion POTS lines.
