Simply put, POTS standard telephone service is legacy. In a matter of fact, the telephone service provider will rather not provide this service. So what does this mean? For a home telephone line, there will be an Ooma ATA plugged into the home office with another DECT ATA that will provide for fax service. These two telephone lines will cost $20/month. In addition, a telephone line will have to be in the Elevator. This is in case one gets stuck in the elevator, they can call for help. This line will be a minimal line with a per minute rate for calls.
When there are issues directly related with the house, the house phone will be used. An example of this will include repair people, and food delivery services. Personal calls will remain using the personal cellular phone.
