The kitchen will be big enough to cook and prepare meals in it, but not much more than that. I am far from a cook, and physical reasons makes it hard to spend an hour in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Most of my meals are microwave, and the kitchen will be just enough. This kitchen will open up into the living room, and there will be no doors or walls separating the two.
Obviously, the kitchen will have a 1kwh microwave, refrigerator, and an electric glass-top stove. Since the stove is electric, it will eliminate a need to have a gas line. This is also a safety issue as there will be no chance for carbon monoxide, or explosions from a leaking gas line.
